Been slow. Fishing through old threads.
Right now, I wouldn’t mind heading back to my old stomping grounds. It’s been six years since I last passed through along US395 from southern California. Haven’t been much anywhere in the past three years.
Hey guys, what are your guy's favorite places to travel to?

Been missing the desert myself of late. But these california gas prices are holding me back. Hoping for sanity to return

David - when the time is right, we should all head back.
I need to set a date to motivate towards. Spring would be good.....

Not much to offer these days since I'm cleaning out the flickr (photo site) because of high pricing.B-Spec wrote:I don't do trails to prove anything.. I do them because I enjoy it. I could care less about proving anything to anyone..

A gallon of water is about 8 pounds. An 8 pound bag of ice at PSR now costs $8.00 (thats' a frozen gallon of water) That's $2.00 more than a gallon of gas costs there.

True!
Of all my trips, I only put ice in the cooler once. I drained it out the next day and I wadded up and threw all the can and bottle labels out. The cold gets hot and the hot gets cold. Around here, if there's a warm one closer I'll grab that one - lol.

It was when I paid $8.00 for an 8 pound bag of ice at PSR that I decided to add an ICECO refrigerator to my vehicle. Now with the solar panels I don't need Ice any longer. I have power in my Blazer also and I will put a smaller refrigerator in there.desert4wd wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 9:15 pm True!

Desert camping done right. That's a sweet setup.
When the horizon consists only of desert mountains, you are in the right place. When there are no fresh tire tracks, you are on the right road. When there are no footprints, you are on the right path.
