I do have a question. Does anyone have any pictures or info on a cat litter mining operation
in the Panamints? It would have been active around 1970.

It's at thebottom of the Slate Range Crossing, just northwest of where Water Canyon crosses the Trona Wildrose Rd.
You can't see the true desert or real history from a paved road!

Some old mining scars and roads. A few pieces of rotten and broken lumber. Might be more farther from the main road, but I have never probed farther.
