No H3 owners allowed here. You will have to sell it and buy a Jeep in order to fit in. LOL!!

Welcome! I rented an H3 fro a trip out to DV a few years back. Did pretty decent for what we asked it to do.

We'd love to hear about your trips here. Feel free to post up reports, pics, etc. Also, take a bit and read the guidelines in this sections. We're a pretty easy going bunch, but we also try to stay away from political and religious discussions, since it's not likely anyone will convince anyone else to change their opinions.

Glad you've joined.

... and I think you'll find South Park Canyon bridge and chicken rock closed to your vehicle.

The bridge and Chicken Rock are closed to ALL vehicular traffic as far as the NPS is concerned. They have a sign up from what I gather. A Hummer would have a lot of fun making it around the rock but if it's not wider than my full size Blazer and no longer wheel base, then it might make it. But as I said, it's closed to ALL motorized traffic as far as I know.

Anyone know if it is open for motor cycles? Horses? Wheel barrels and pogo sticks?

Chicken rock is not closed to all vehicles. You can still ride Atv's and motor cycles around it and it is BLM property not NPS. I wouldn't worry to much about the sign but that is just me.

I walked up to look at Chicken Rock. Don't think I would have problems but I was not doing the loop that day anyway. My only prob would be the pucker factor :? I would defer to the judgement of those who have done it many times to say whether it is doable in an H3. I've not done Pleasant Canyon as I was told it is way overgrown with brush, trees etc and would be scratching up the sides, true or no?

Yes. Pleasant is over grown but that is what a 4x4 is for.. Go out and get some scratches on it. Nothing wrong with using your rig for what it was made for..:mrgreen:
