Re: Newbie saying hi

Welcome Jeff. You live in a great area to explore as you already know.
What's this David, you belong to the GG??? Well, I suppose you're down there more than some residents... :beerchug:

Welcome Richard.
I'm not as experienced as David in PV and DV. I made that left turn at Albuquerque 30 years ago and have been exploring the Great Basin instead...lol. Actually I've caught up a little since my first visit to DV in '65.

Re: Just registered

Welcome Dave. :beerchug:

When I lived down there, I routinely visited my uncle who live in Monrovia. Later on I lived in Montrose. Nice location relative to highway 2....

Re: WHAT'S YOUR 20? See it on the map.

Well, ain't I the trouble maker- lol. So ya got a new friend eh?.... I hate when that happens. I moved to a different town too, but it's only twenty miles away so I figured not to mess with it. I sometimes forget about frapper but it's kind of interesting to see who's not on it, or who's on it twice...

Re:

As much as I love the eastern Sierra, I'm considering a move with my company to Winnemucca. I've visited that town numerous times, have stayed several days on occasion, and my wife and I both love the area. If I move, I guess I'll have to drag the icon a bit up and a smidgen to the right ... ...

You are in a good geographical location, that's for sure. I'm definitely not the furthest one out of DV or PV, but it can be quite a drive sometimes.

If we could get Google Earth to "artificially" plant some more amenities in Darwin, it might become quite the destination- lol.
